We'll I've always wanted one (my parents have had 16 of them). So I finally got my arse into gear and bought the roughest cheapest one I could find.

It needs a lot of work but that'll be half the fun of it.

As you can see its in a complete state. I was bought 2 years ago as spares or repair. Since then its had a rebuilt engine, gearbox and suspension. Then oddly it was used for a trip to france and then it was forggoten and used as a run around/work car. Hence it getting in the state its in!

My plans cover everything really:
New grill
Basically full respray
Full leather restoration
New lights
Repair the stereo
Get my plate onto it
Remove the roof rack
New door handles.
Updated sat nav and steering wheel if I get round to it.

That's all for now, I'll update this as things get done. Respray first I think!

New step was to get the amp out, which is a night mare if you have LPG!

Currently waiting for my new amp to come from the US.

Gilptone treatment

Can't recommend this stuff enough. It was good in my M3 and even better in the Range Rover.

New DSP amp turning up tomorrow i hope.

Slowly coming together!

Looking good - good job! Need to get rid of those horrible orange side indicators though and get some clear or smoked ones ;) How come you decided not to upgrade to the new front indicator units which are clear (rather than orange) when you changed them? Or did you just change the right side to match left side rather than change both?

What did you use on the seats to bring them up? I could do with doing that on mine, they are wearing a bit, esp on driver seat.

Keeping the orange indicators, they have more character than clear ones!

I used a product called scuff master, search for it on eBay!

looks nice, out of interest (dont say if you dont want to) but how much did you pay for it? And cost so far? As id like one next but a bit expensive for me at the moment.

great job on the interior refurb etc. but why so cagey on the purchase price? It gives others who are looking a good guide as to what they should be looking for and paying. go on..... spread the love!!
