L322 upper tailgate securing

when i close the upper tailgate on my L322, the left hand side (and ur closing it), doesnt seem to 'lock in' properly, and theres a small amount of play (not enough to open or anything, but i know its there), is there a way of adjusting this, or what would of caused it?

the upper tailgate only fastens in the centre not at the ends, the lower tailgate fastens at both ends and the latches clog up with crap. if it is the lower one giving you trouble its an easy fix, unbolt them of the tailgate give them a damn good clean out then re lube them.
