Alternators are regulated to 14.4 volts....thats what you SHOULD get with the engine running

And is that volts DC?
DC volts, should be 14.5 volts give or take a few tenths with the engine at 2000rpm. A fully charged battery after resting with the charge removed should read 12.8volts, 12.5 volts = half charged, 12.2 volts is as good as flat.
Right guys mr AA came and jumped her back to life first time. He checked the alternator was charging and it was pulling/charging 72 or 74amps? That sound right?
And he measure the battery and at first it was 14 (can't remember what) and it slowly increased as she was ticking over between 20-40 (I think, my memory is awful)
Any way he said the alternator was working well and the drain was caused by all the short distances id done recently
