hi guys my l322 td6 is doing a lot of lurching around when going over bumps and flat roads as though it has a mind of its own I have checked all the bushes and they are fine any suggestions?????

Evidently something is amiss so your diagnosis is wrong.

Where to start.....
Tyre pressures,
tyre wear,
tyre matching per axle,
tyre age
tyre direction orientation
front track forward AND rear arm inner bushes
front ball joints
rear multi link bushes
subframe bushes
wheel bearings
partially seized driveshaft
strut top bearings
strut top rubber mounts
Track rod ends

Or maybe it's just your shockies.:D:D

Thanks for your reply mfl322 had it with private mechanic and he reckons it's to much play in steering rack ..... does that make sense???

I much prefer gregarious mechanics, far more easily readable!!

Steering rack as with anything can wear. I'd suggest at least a second opinion.
When was it MOT'd?

Was this a sudden change or has it got progressively worse over a number of months? If it's happened suddenly I'd be very surprised if it's the steering rack. They tend to wear, not suddenly go loose.
