Hi All,

Brand new to the LZ - Living in Denmark, we do not have any really cool Rangie "doctors" - the problem in summary:

The engine runs uneven while crusing - Low Pressure pump was changed last year, all injectors was tested 2 weeks ago and 4 was changed - finally i thought that the engine would run smoothly again - NO. Suddenly while driving the engine stalls and turns off, then there are 2 options it starts right away or not. EGR Valve has been changed - trying with Bell Add additive no help here no improvement. My only options are:

High pressure pump or some kind of sensor any thoughts ?

Cheers,

Sune

Look at the high side fuel pressure if its not fairly constant when you try to maintain a constant speed its possible the pressure regulator is failing on the high pressure pump. Also check the connector onto the rail pressure sensor.

Hi eightinavee
Looks like a good start - ill check the cables and connectors - quite stupid when the temperature lately has gone up its more stable - but still Bounces up and down.
Ill drop by my small land rover guy tomorrow to read the codes if any and get the opinion on the fuel pressure - seems to be the problem.

To close the Thread - its the Cable - my best advice for all running with this config L322 TD6 Check the Cable -
For those who likes reading:

Got the whole engine checked - changed the Sensor all happy for a week then it started again, so I examined the cable one day while the engine was "bouncing" and pulled very gently, Whoops all was smooth and elegant again. So ordering the cable and have a calm ride again.

Which cable?

Sorry all for not being specific about the cable - I repaired the cable for the High Pressure Sensor as the physical connector where damaged and where unreliable - so new connector and reconnect the cable and now its stable..

Glad its sorted at last. This problem is still quite common on TD4 Freelanders,I told a garage just yesterday to wiggle the connector on the rail sensor, whilst still on the phone - sorted !
Not so common on the TD6 motor, dont know why...
