Hi guys, initially the RR was dropping quickly when hitting the access (low) mode and when raising it up the rear flicked up then the front followed, as it should.

Bu tall of a sudden I have noticed it has dramatically slowed down, with it now taking sometimes up to two minutes to raise up properly. The car doesnt appear to be dropping any height whilst parked up and there is no warning on the dash.... any ideas? Compressor on its way out perhaps?

Also any idea of expected costs if it is indeed the compressor?

All help appreciated so I dont get ripped off and fobbed off with expensive unnecessary fixes when I take it into the workshop to be repaired?

I'm a P38 owner but all air suspensions are basically the same. There's the supply side; pump to tank to valve block and the demand side which is the bags and sensors.
From what you've described you've got a problem on the supply side. Your starting point is the compressor and a simple test like trying to hold your finger over the pipe whilst it's running will give you a fair idea of it's output - you shouldn't be able to. If the compressor is producing lots of air then you're losing it somewhere from a joint, pipe or valve, in that order.
A new compressor will cost you about £350 and I haven't yet seen any alternatives like the rebuild kits that you can get for the P38 although it might be worth your while having a look on some of the American sites, they always seem to be a little ahead of us on these things.

The L322 compressors do give a few problems. I have a few of them in my workshop that i keep threatening to strip down & rebuild, when i get the time.

It does sound like your pump is weakening & could benefit from replacement.

check the relief valve in the spare wheel well as theres a chance its leaking which would cause a loss of pressure on the system , you can remove it and replace it with a 90 degree bend which is clipped to it ,the other thing to check is inside the dome that holds the compressor is a small brass filter on the compressor inlet which can choke with muck and limit the quantity of air the compressor can provide ,theres a fair few threads on here about l322 air suspension problems.

Thank you for your help guys.... mucho appreciated!

It all stemmed from my battery..... had no guts so I got it load tested and got them to replace it first and hey presto.... everything bouncing and springing as it should perfectly!! That was the problem all along.

Saved a few quid! PHEW!!!
