Hi all,
I know iam going to be abused for what I have done, but reezing cold and done in error :-(
I bought a fully working l322 td6 speedo with fully working pixels saving the bother of sending unit off. Very easy to remove and can now do it in 20mins. The problem started when I switched on the car and HDC & Air suspension inactive, does not effect driving but speedo lights up better than my Christmas tree.
Now in my haste I threw away my old speedo (yes I hear the groans) not realising they are coded to each vehicle.
Is there anyone who has software to mate the becm and speedo? I have telephoned Land Rover and say textbook will cure it so can be done.
Can you disconnect battery overnight to fool it?
Please someone help
Richard

Only ever change instrument clusters AFTER letting the car sleep for 15 minutes, THEN disconnecting battery.

Do you have SRS icon up on your tree?

The IKE (Instrument Pack) contains specific vehicle data....the LCM (Lighting Control Module) contains an identical set of data.....the two have to match else you will get the 'tamper' dot on the mileage display.

Have you tried the lock to lock steering reset to see if it will clear the HDC/DSC/EAS messages?

You will need a pretty good diagnostic tool (like Faultmate extreme or testbook) to be able to read the LCM information and write this to the new IKE.
