Hello,

Had quick question. I recently bought a L322 Range Rover that had a few issues I am working out. The previous owner provided me a BMW SAS. I believe the BMW SAS and RR can be used interchangeably? My question is. I took this to my independent and they said the SAS I have is broken because it spins freely. Is this correct? (See video). I purchased All Comm and want to replace myself. But don't want to buy another SAS if the one I have will work.

Having changed the steering colum on mine and had to swop the SAS over I would guess that one is ok, it will need calibrating after fitting. if you fit it your self and allcoms can calibrate it just fit it see what happens.

Figured as much. Took old one off as well and it spins. Think my indy shop was clueless. You have any tips for getting the sterring shaft back into the knucle where pinch bolt goes. I can get it to go back in very far. Not seeing anything obvious where it has to go in a certain way.

Finally got it all back together and reprogrammed the SAS with AllComms. The lights are gone for now. And I can see normal values in live data for the sensor. Took for short drive hopefully all stays off!!It was the last thing I needed to fix on this rig. For now.

Took the old one apart. As you can see the issue with one of the contacts.
