sounds fair, they can rust like a bugger and i would rather pay the man the money he has asked for to do a proper job, it takes me an hour to get my toolbox out !

Have a read through this if you want to see what a pain these jobs can turn into.

That's because you keep it in the same cupboard as your dresses and you get distracted.

Everybody else's jobs must seem cheap and reasonable to you goldie, you must have a face like an under done scone to be bled of 1600 notes for a compressor.
Doesn't seem like you would know the first thing about reasonable charges. imo.

Not sure on why rusty hub is an issue when changing a caliper.... 10 minutes to change a caliper in my world, not 3 hours:confused::eek:

Not sure what ball-joint and bottom arms have to do with changing calipers either.
i thought we were changing a strut and did the caliper at the same time.
if you read the thread there is trouble getting the caliper off which is why i thought it was relevant

hell hath no fury like a man scorned, what got down your snorkel ??

Still no requirement to undo any ball joints even if we are talking struts, all you undo is top 3 nuts and the 2 stub bolts, thought you did yours??.

Caliper is 2 bolts and a flexi, it's not even a requirement to undo the carrier unless new caliper comes with carrier, any mech would have that off in 20 minutes if rusty (I'm being gracious here) so to be charged 3 hour is a p(ss take, even at £30p/h.
Just giving my opinion on mechanic, and i'm being gracious calling him that!

What the **** do i care, i thought the guy was getting a caliper changed and also a a front strut which may have been rusted and the guy was going to spend some time sorting it out for him, if you want to change it for him for £60 then crack on lofty !!

I'll have my snorkel back please HC.....hey you bit the end off, wtf:eek:
I read caliper, pads and sensor @ £128 for parts (probably about right) with labour @ £90...... the other caliper swap is quoted (not done yet) for 33% less foldings.
I read inept mech,,, 5 HOURS to do 2 caliper n pads, I mean, come on!

All this within a strut thread when maybe it ought to be a new thread.?

Hope mech never let car out the door on one new and one old caliper/pad combo!

ps. I'd do it for £30 a side and possibly think I covered myself, not robbed anyone.

I'm all good, i only posted two in a row because i couldn't be bothered to edit the first one :)
Ahhhh...... I've just looked at the post numbers. There must be person/s on ignore posting in between but I can't see them, so it shows 4 posts from you in a row. That clears up the confusion about that but not my general confusion o_Oo_O

I've got a 'part worn' battery, no idea where it's been or whether it's in date, but it may take you to a destination, couldn't guarantee plural though, soz.
LOL, I once got a tyre from the Iraqis in town, but only to make a matching set of Pirellis.

Coming along nicely then :)
I have had this battery in for a couple of years now and no complaints

These seem a good price but check it is the same battery or have a search through their site

Depends on your spec. If you have Vogue or Vogue SE you need the 110Ah , CCA 920. Lower spec models are ok with the lower spec battery.

Battery replaced with bosch 110 a 920cca surprising how doing that has changed rr surprising much of a difference it makes you wouldn't think that a bad battery wood effect air suspension that much
Next project is cluster renew Lcd display and all stepper motors as 2 out of four are broken I have all parts been quoted £62 to do repair at akspeedo send cluster away etc etc
