L322 final stage resistor

Hi all,
I made a post a couple of days ago as my heater fan/blower is running reallly slowly but had no reply but lots of views. The fan runs only at one speed, even when all the lights on the rotary knob are on it blows as if there was only one light on. I have ordered a final stage resistor. Will this do the job? The rear passenger fan runs really fast as I assume this runs from a seperate motor.
Please help

yes the reister is under the drivers side of the dash

Thanks, I found instructions to fit the resistor on RSWSolutuions website but it's American and I wasn't sure if the resistor was in the drivers footwell as it's show as the passengers (LHD).
