2009 L322 RR with what started as an intermittent EAS fault associated with a dropped right front corner.
This would correct itself with no human intervention but then became permanent dropping all four corners.

Here’s the riddle. Through trial and error I discovered that if I used the steering wheel method to clear the fault WHILE THE PASSENGER (right) door was open, the lights on the console EAS control would illuminate AND the car would rise and level to standard height. Suspension stayed at standard height and level for several days and then, while I was having lunch for about an hour the front right corner dropped again.
This time however, none of my attempts or variations to replay the open door steering wheel reset technique would work. Yes the fault would clear and the console lights would illuminate AND the EAS 4x4 screen would say “raising “ but unlike the previous trials, the car would not rise. Closing the door in activates the lights on the console EAS controls and despite the “Raising” message still displayed, nothing happens. I’m flat on the bump stops and wondering what to do next. I repeated variations on this procedure several times to no avail.

Where next? Sensor on the right corner? Replace right corner bag? I’m very well versed in rebuilding the p38 EAS soup to nuts but the L322 is new to me.

Plug it into diagnostics I would say.
Which leads me to ask, what's the best bang for the buck for a diagnostic unit that will clear these faults and help diagnose the underlying problem. I own a couple od P38's and am deeply indebted to RSW Solutions when dealing with their EAS idiosyncrasies, but what about other products? Especially one that will work on my P38's and the L322? I will be investigating that front air bag and air pipes shortly but don't I need a device that will clear the faults before I can resurrect the system?

Thanks in advance...
George

The Allcomms wont work on your 2009, the main two i read about is the Icarsoft - i930 i think it is but check it will clear the faults but I am fairly confident it does and the Gap IID is a more up market solution. The Faultmate is a very good bit of kit, i have the Extreme, but the support is starting to wane from what i can tell.
If you can pick up a used Faultmate that already has the L322 software you can transfer the license for around £60 but check the serial number first has the correct software for your vehicle.
