Hi everyone. Apologies for yet another post regarding the autobox on the early L322 but after doing a search I cant find this fault previously listed.
My problem is first thing in the morning I have no drive. The car will drop into reverse fine and move away but when drive is selected... nothing for a few seconds then the drive slowly comes in with a bit of a judder. After that the drive is fine and will be all day, its only after being left overnight.
We had the oil changed last year as the car would vibrate on small throttle openings before the box changed down and this did appear to solve the majority of the gearbox shifting issues. The old oil was slightly blackish but the mechanic said it wasnt too bad.
As a side issue we constantly have the message TRANS BOX NEUTRAL come up, usually when you lift off the accererator quickly, whether these faults are related I dont now.
