Hi,
Was wondering if you coule help. I have a L322 4.4 V8 with an LPG conversion. It has developed a problem where the idle seams to be playing up. For about 2 weeks now and again the idle would fluctuate 1100 revs to 650 and almost cut out. Then last week it got worse and when I slowed up at a junction it was hunting again and then cut out at the junction and when ever I started it it would cut out again, until eventually I flattened the battery and got it picked up.

The 4x4 specialist garage which it went to reset the computer and said they calibrated the Throttle sensor ie drove it around a bit on Petrol as the ECU hadn't received any Petrol Data for a while. (even though I have been running LPG for well over a year). Anyway they serviced the car aswell and I handed over the cash with a slight sigh of relief.

That night I went to work and back no probs then went to the gym in the afternoon the next day and when I returned to the car it would start and then immediatly cut out again. The garage came out, but couldn't find a fault code, but reset it and said to run it around again for the weekend but stay local. On the way home I had Engine failsafe and it cut out, I limped home with the airsusp and HDC inactive and there she lays in the drive.

Any ideas ? Is this LPG related or idle sensor ?

Thanks.....................Adam

Some feed back for anyone in the future...........

Took it to my local indy and it had 4 conclusive fault codes relating to the throttle sensor, which is part of the accelerater pedal assembly. Which cost £47 part £60 labour + VAT(fit pedal clear codes, reset etc) , job done sorted, thankfully.
