I'm not exactly sure of the L322 setup, but I did the D3 front diff without touching the engine at all, and it's of a similar layout and design.

Is it? ( genuine question) The RRS and D3 are the same, not sure I've heard of L322 and D3 being the same before.

The layout and design share a common similarity, although the components used are different.

I'm no mechanic but I can't think of any car that would have the engine mounted to the dif.
