I've got a 2006 l320 and when I put it into reverse I get a initial beep but then nothing happens the closer I get to an obstacle and also the light sensor in the roof at the back just flashes the 2 outer lights.
Any ideas where to start with this please?

Thank you.

hi and welcome to the asylum

try parking on flat ground , chock the wheels, handbrake off , ign on , select reverse , then go round to the rear bumper and put ur ear to each sensor and see if u can hear them clicking

also very worth while to get some diagnostics plugged in as maybe one of the sensors / parking module has failed

finally ensure ur battery is fully charged , u should see a minimum of 12.6 Vdc with the engine off

hope that helps

Normally a single beep from the PDC suggests there's an issue with one of the sensors.
As Gary said, a diagnostic read will tell you exactly which sensor is causing the issue.
