I'm currently fixing an L series for my brother and have a problem with the ac lines. The bolts being made of steel in aluminium connections freeze and endup seazed in the connetions. Have already snapped 2 bolts so its gonna give ma a hard time removing the connections. One of the damaged ones can be replaced but the problem is one of the pipes is directly connected to the rubber hose which goes inside the bulkhead so that can't be replaced. Or at least not easily.
Question is, can I cut the line at the connection and flare the pipe and use a different coupler maybe similar to the ones used for brake lines or copper tubing?
