Anyone have an idea what the boost pressure is on the L series diesel?
At the weekend I noticed that the output pipe from the intercooler had slipped under the jubilee clip enough for few drops of oil to be dripping out. Reasoning that this would also lead to a loss of boost pressure, and hence performance, I took the joint apart and remade it. All well and good until I drove the car, and under moderate acceleration, blew the pipe off, twice. I ended up cutting an inch of the pipe and remaking the joint as it just wouldn't hold as it was.
All is well now but I did wonder what the boost pressure was. I'm sure when I had a Pug 306 XRDt the boost pressure was about 10PSI.
