Got both sets of keys for my rover but they dont seem to work the central locking? ive replaced the batteries in one and the LED lights up but wont unluck the doors. what could be the cause of this? its a 1998 P38 deisel and it annoys me when ive got to lock the doors by hand, doesnt look very well on a range rover

resynicyour key the one the light works on, put it in lock press lock botton turn to lock amd back to center do the same with unlock then try it ..

tried it. when i do that in the lock the light flashes faster but it still wont unlock it or lock it..

thanks for your help

go to the driverside rear window and try it there, your blue wire may be off the rf box

you did press open when you turned to open did you ??

i followed the guide on rangerovers.net

put the key in, hold the lock button down and turn it right for 3 seconds, then return it back to the centre then remove.

and when that didnt work i did the same as you mentioned with the unlock button... i think anyway

I just put my new key in the ignition, turn it on.. programmed... Worked for me...
