I've had a really annoying knocking sound from my 1999 Freelander, So far I've removed the rear drive shaft (cheapest of fixes & lovely power gain!!)
Replaced ant

i roll bar links & bushes, replaced track rod ends, And still Knocking!!
I think I've spotted the fault (again) but need some advice as I can't find a similar fault on the good old www.
It appears that it's coming from the centre of the track rods, The star bolts appear to be moving & causing a knock!! Anyone had/heard of this??
I don't even know what parts to search for!!
Many thanks in advance!!

Have you tried to tighten them?

Tightening will have to wait until Tomorow as I have to borrow the female star sockets, I thought I'd ask the question as nothing on my Landy is ever that easy!!! :-O
