Good day to you all....
This will be my first attempt to post a thread...
I'm new here and recently bought a used freelander 1 td4 2006 model since i bought it I have invested a few bank crippling amounts on repairs and maintenance on this vehicle but none the less...

So the problem that i have now is as follows and need some insight and maybe some advice...

A few weeks ago the lady decided to run off on me with a cloud of smoke and trying to beat a formula 1 revving capability and obviously not wanting to switch off, I managed to get the air intake of to smother her, got her in a low bed took her home and started the operation....
Discovered that oil have been contaminated with diesel so drive shaft seal was gone, removed pump completely done all seals, also removed turbo replaced turbo core, cleaned out intercooler and all pipes, new oil and filter.... Now after priming and a few attempts to start se finally does but she is still pumping white smoke and sounds like she swallowed a hammer.... Could it be that she damaged bearing...
Thanks.

So it seems you have had a runaway engine due to the PCV filter not be changed when it needed to be, i presume you have taken care of that now, if not you need to do it right away.

Air filter cover off, injectors wiring remove three torx screws a 5mm socket will remove them.

Five allen key three on top two at the back.

Three torx for the wiring, 5mm socket.

Then remove the PCV filter four allen key bolts.

yours may well be like the one in this photo, if so that is why you had a diesel runaway.

I would also remove the manifold and get that cleaned out after you have removed the EGR and MAP sensor.

Don't want to be bearer of bad news, but weak crankshaft (cast) on the TD4 sometimes fails after this excessive revving.
Put a socket on the crank pulley and see if it moves freely without any connection to the rest of the car !!

This would make the noise and as the timing would be all over the place would make the smoke too.
Hope it is a simpler fix !

Now after priming and a few attempts to start se finally does but she is still pumping white smoke and sounds like she swallowed a hammer.... Could it be that she damaged bearing.

If you've had uncontrolled runaway, then it's very likely there's bottom end damage. The crankshaft can break on these engines, where it drives the timing chain.

Edit. What Andy said above.
