Keyless entry, most times.

Hello, first time writer long time reader.
I've got an issue with unlocking the doors on a Disco 2,
Sometimes the remote will not do anything. I have to unlock with the key and then it works perfect.
This happens with both keys and seemed to start happening when we had the ice and snow.
Any help or ideas as to what I could have a look for.

Doesn't it say some thing about this in the owners handbook, the system closes down and to wake it up you must first use the key.

My central locking was not working at all, I changed the sender unit in the roof behind the headlining and that sorted it except that when you go to the car first thing in the morning the remote won't work until you open manually with the key!!After that woks fine all day! Wierd!! Can only guess that for some reason it goes to sleep as mentioned above!!
