Hi all.
So made the leap and upgraded my P38 to a 2004 3l l322. The key I got with it is not the original but works(apart from unlock button)
I was under the impression that you can't sync an aftermarket key to the becm?
I don't think it is the original PCB inside as the button configuration doesn't match any OEM keys I have seen. How has this been done?
The keys are cheap to buy too so would be handy if this is possible.View attachment 193273

Cheers datatek.

I have spent all day researching and discovered how easy it is compared to my P38. Replacement s are cheap enough and easy to sync. Only question is, does the transponder require power?
I am assuming not as most replacements just say, drop in new fob case. ( ie, does not need to be soldered to the PCB)
Also, will the cable and eas suite you got me for my P38 work on my me one or do I need to upgrade?

The transponder does not need power.
The EAS suite is for the P38 only, howevr RSW solutions do the Allcomms diagnostics that may suit your car.
