Anyone know how to add a new key (transponder) to the Immobiliser ECU (for a 2001 Freelander)? I can view the working key using T4 unit but you can only add a key that the ECU has 'learned' and I have no idea how to do this.

Anyone have a clue how the ECU learns a new key transponder code?

I think you have to go to main dealer or independent to get it working,That's what I have seen on here.
Search for new key fobs and you should find it.
 
Finally got round to adding my second key but there is no key learning under security > maintenance. Anyone else know where you / how to make the ECU learn a key??
