My replacement radiator is leaking! GRRRRR It's only two years old!!!!
LRDirect offered a two year warranty on this radiator. However, I have to return it to them for it to be examined and a refund made - maybe. Sadly it's cheaper to just bit that bullet and order a new replacement. Sigh.

Radiator brands, are Britpart, Allmakes, Bearmach and genuine LR radiators all made by the same manufacturer? I think this dud one is a Britpart [the 2 year warranty is NBG to me here in NZ.] Are other brands made to a better spec or with better quality materials?

Which company was the OEM?

Have you contacted LRDirect yet?

I have had some luck in this sort of situation, with pictures and a good story I have got replacements for the cost of shipping, or a good deal/credit.

Hi Tony, yes they've asked that I return it. I offered to send pic's of the leak [ on the inner side about half way up the side tank - driver's side]. I sent them details of purchase & fitting date km...
Waiting to hear back.

I don't know who made the original LR radiator. I have a suspicion that it was from German supplier.
I know of several Britpart rads that have failed in no time. Not on Freelander's, but on other MG Rover vehicles.
So I would definitely avoid BP at all costs. Bearmach haven't done to well with parts quality recently either. Living a long way from most suppliers. I'd be getting a LR part, as quality is normal good. The original rads last 10 years + don't they.

One way to find out? From what I can see on the Rimmer Bros electronic parts catalogue, there is only one part number for the 1.8 K-series FL1: PCC000111
Based on that, it seems likely that the MY01 rad will fit... :)
