K Reg 3.9 Rr

hi i have just bought the parts to replace the oil pump on my k reg 3.9 rr and i have only noticed today the the pump cover on the car has 2 oil cooler pipes coming from it but the cover i have bought has not someone told me that there is some kind of adaptor ring that you remove after taking the oil filter off and you put in on the new cover i have rung rimmer bros and was told by them they had never heard of it can anyone give me some advice PLEASE

When you remove the oil filter, it will reveal a hidden nut, approx 25mm.
It won't take much to budge it. Loosen that off and the adaptor ring will come loose. I suggest loosening the two oil pipes first.
As always expect some mess.

Thanks Mate I Was Just Worried That I Had Bought The Wrong Cover Will I Need And New Seals When I Fit It Back To The New Cover

I don't remember there being any seals, I just used the old vasaline in between the 2 surfaces.

The seal between the adaptor ring and the oil pump cover is the same as an oil filter seal - re-use an old oil filter seal for this...
