on the other side!!!
paid 45 quid for a K&N element for my Td4 auto..........

what a waste of money it was!!!

lacked low down power.
lacked top end power.
lacked mid range power.

put old filter back in and it goes like a train:eek:

anyone got one in their Td4??

had a corsa 1.8sri before the freelander and spent 80 quid on a K&N induction kit for it.
all that did was make the ewl come on and cause it to tick aver like a tractor:rolleyes:

oh and 20mpg out of a corsa anyone???

Have had one on my wifes TD4 manual for 2 years with no issues at all with it, i would say the throttle response was instantly better low down after the K+N was fitted.

I have also added one of Roverrons upgrade boxes last week and the car absolutely flies now.

Upgrade Box + Filter = :D

I'd say you have an air flow meter problem then.

The K&N is alowing more air in but the air flow meter cant cope (giving wrong readings to ecu)
Also did you make sure the air filter cover was on properly? If not, it will cause lack of power.

Is it worth getting one of these for my 2005 1.8? does it make a difference and wouldnt it void the warranty?? Cheers.

First ever mod I did to tiny (to save filter replacement really) I would say it has quite nicely paid for itself by now (160k later). Never had an issue with them - they flow more air and filter better than enything else on the market. If you are down on power you need a new MAF methinks.:D
