My radio has been playing up over the last few weeks, Clarion type radio with cd multi changer. (Harman Kardon badges on speakers)

I am trying to fit a JVC in its place, I have the grey power connection block from the RR to the JVC no problem and all power to the radio is fine.

My problem is where to connect the speaker connections to the RR pink connection block.

I have a feeling the amp needs powering up but not sure which wires to use, in the pink connection block there are 5 pairs of wires, I would emagine 4 pairs for speakers and 1 pair for amp power, can anyone throw any light on the subject.

The five sets of speaker wires are 4 speakers and a subwoofer. The power wire for the amps is in the other block, if your plugging in with a standard iso connecter you need to move 1 of the wires to another location.

There is some info at Installation Tip - PC3-09 Range Rover but don't buy there adapter leads with the little circuits in as they don't work very well at all. You are best doing as you are, connecting the speakers from the new unit straight up, i have done this myself. Because the new unit will be much higher output than th low powered clarion, it just means it will get louder quicker when you turn up the volume, but its more than livable with.

With the subwoofer wires you just need to connect the + and - to the + and - of one of the rear speakers, this works fine.
