18 months I reckon since I wrote him off as needing a new chassis. A chassis
I just couldn't afford at the time... or now as a toy play thing.

Prompted by a thread on the MC forum and piccys of repair to chassis I
wouldn't entertain fixing I went out and prodded my Percy. I mean it was
warm and sunny so why not. (We've all done it!)

The good news is he looks like he has another 10 years in him yet. I just
need to do some plating on the chassis and fix this replacement v8 in which
I aborted when I glanced at the hole in the chassis on a cold wet day 18
months ago which I prodded through with my finger.

Buggerit... no excuses now......

Reaching the parts other Landrover restorers can't reach - JLo makes new
home in the USA.
Percy IIa - two Engines to the mile, awaits a new chassis.
Morph - He's "living the dream".

Strange how things seem achieveable once the sun comes out isn't it. I
had a similar thought while checking the levels on RRC TDi. I reckons
its the prospect of lying on your back in the cold and dark in the
middle of November that makes it "beyond repair".

I plan to carry out a scientific experiment by seeing if next winter is
any better in my newly built shed!
