Just Keeps Going

I have a '93 disco. v8, that wont turn off.

i have to disconnected wire off the coil to turn off.

i can turn the key off and take out but the motor still runs and the electrials in the car all turn off.

any one knows anything about this please give me any pointers on how to fix this.

sounds like a wire in your ignition barrel

not entirely sure but thats where i'd start

Saw this once before on a Jag, if you turned of the heater motor before turning off the ignition the engine would stop, if the heater was left on and the ignition turned off the motor became a mini dynamo that fed back up the igniton and kept the ignition live, this could last for about three minutes.

Might be worth trying
