so just got my first defender... (family has had land rovers for last 20 years)

i have a few questions; regarding winches side steps extra lighting and the likes...

first question is regarding a winch, if i where to have 1 it would maybe be used on occasion, id want one which is tidy and out of the way, that doesn't stick out too much or shout out there's a winch here...

the other option for the front is a 'A' bar with extra lights...

i don't know however who makes what, what is best having just started researching id probably be getting a superwinch 1510200 lp10000 i think i like the looks of the regular a bar with no winch but im undecided.

side steps are next, i have brand new steps (stock) for it currently which aren't on but i want the longer one's like the defender svx style... undecided on color and which steps, ideas?

extra lighting, i love lights, was thinking about the 2 with the a bar on the front and 4 small ones across the top but i haven't a clue where to start looking, ideas? almost vampire hunter style...

it needs a tow hitch we have about a 2 ton boat (inc trailer)... we have the spare electrics lying around, what is the best style? we have a dixon bate on the disco which we have made a bike rack for (slides through the pin)
currently toying between the dixon bate and a NAS tow bar... any thoughts?

for colors; heres the landy

Hello Dcu and :welcome2: aboard.

It sounds as though you want a poseur-mobile with added extras to attract the opposite sex!

A basic, standard, bog-hopper will do that ... especially if you fit an SAT on each corner.

If you are towing a boat, stick a towball on the front end and then you will have no problems with either launching or recovery.

Just had a look at your link - it opened eventually - I'll give you a fiver for the number plate!

side steps are a necessity as my mother struggles to get in and out of it... might as well get nice ones... i do go motorcross riding + dh mountain biking so it will get off road use... last scotland trip we did in a jeep cherokee v8 and managed to get stuck multiple times driving through a random forest... that's the thinking behind a winch, and everybody loves lights...

sent landrovertuning.com a mail to see what they think parts wise...
