I'll get the electronics bloke at work to have a look at that then once I've got it insured. While it starts and everything mostly works I will leave the wiring well alone.

A friend of mine has a Morris Minor. He tried to add a radio, and ended up with both the indicators and brake lights not working. That is exactly the sort of thing that would happen to me.

And people wonder why lucas has such a bad reputation, with people fiddling with the leccys like that :frusty:

If your hazards only work when you've got an indicator on, that points to a duff flasher relay to me, either that or some moron has wired it into the indicator flasher relay instead of its own...

Just found this old topic and have a question.

On my series 3 I don't have the second switch from the right on the top row. The one to the left of the headlight switch. What is supposed to be there? There is still the small icon but I don't know what it's a picture of.

dash light

Oh ok. My dash light comes on when the headlights are on, which I thought was normal as that's what modern cars do. Think I'll just leave it as it is
