Hi All !

Just thought I would share this with you for your info . I went to my local 4X4 centre up here in Aberdeenshire in November , I said I was considering fitting snow tyres for the winter, firstly he advised that if I was thinking of it DO IT NOW as after the first hint of snow all the snow tyres would be bought up in no time .............How true was that , if anyone tried to get snow tyres after the snow hit England you will know what I mean . Secondly he recommended an American tyre "Cooper M&S Sports" what a brilliant snow tyre it is ! ! ! !

We are all aware of the snow this country has had this winter (so far) at the height of the snow earlier this month there were several occasions, when some of the other 4X4's on ordinary were struggling even at low speeds, I passed them with ease !
As i got used to them I was pushing harder and harder to see how far I could go with them , just to see what I could "get away with" .......when safe to do so with nothing around..........I was passing cars that were struggling for grip at 15 - 20 mph I was doing bends at 50mph +

To be honest with you the tyres were sooo good that it was me that bottled it a bit thinking this is too fast , but at no time was there any indication of loosing grip so they could have gone faster , I suspect.
The lad who recommended them races Labdrovers on and off road all year round and has had a set on his Range Rover all year round and says the wear rate is very good. They are good on ice and water as well, I have noticed that when I drive in the wet now I am kicking up so much spray now as bad as an HGV so am considering fitting extentions to my mud flaps to reduce it .

Anyway , as one Disco owner to another I just thought I would share this with you

You haven't got Snow Tyres, you've got Winter Tyres. BIG difference.

I've been running winter tyres on my car and Landy for years, once you've tried them there's no going back.
