Judder! Judder!

Hi i was driving my Td6 l322 home from work today and put my foot down to overtake a lorry when she went down through the gears and then there was a horrible vrrr vrrr vrrr from the engine and i had to drop back,i have tried again and with hard acceleration it dose it every time but will drive through vrrr vrrr judder judder stage, any thoughts from any body are most welcome. Thanks John.

Could be your gearbox on its way out :S

Well - you're in Hertfordshire, Stephen's engineering county - masters of everything auto transmission! No I don't work for them, just a happy customer. I'd have the transmission serviced every 20K if I had an early L322! After many years of trouble free ZFs - why oh why did Rover buy in GMs? Were BMW trying to engineer extra unreliability into the L322 to keep X5 sales up?

I hope not only recond 2 months ago with 12 months warranty! will be taking the bugger back next week!
