first post on this forum...so hello to all....:)

I have a 1995 300tdi Discovery with 252,000kms....

I did a cursory search to no avail ref jerry can holders etc......i ride enduros and carry my petrol can inside the truck from and to moto`s....for safety sake i was wondering if there was a method of fitting a jerry can rack(possibly two)to eg.the spare wheel on the back door?

Anyone have any suggestions???

I have seen holders that clamp onto the spare wheel. dunno who makes then tho'. Could try specialist overland suppliers (Nene Overland or the like).....................bet they'll be V 'spensive mind!

Oh, & welcome ter Lary Zone. ;)

Thanks for that Grippa......anyone else know of anything/method to suit??...(I`ll try a wee image search on google I guess to see if there`s anything apparent)..

roof rack? ratchet them down inside? you can get holders for single 20ltr cans. maybe, like said earlier you could bolt this to the inside of the rear door. dont know where else you could put em really.

just a thought but given the fact that just the weight of a spare wheel fooks the back door up. I don't think sticking another 8 stone on there is going to help the situation much.

OK folks ill have a wee peep.....I was trying to get them away from inside the lr..although they`re sealed well i just got to thinking about them being involved in an accident and maybe leaking somehow....just the fact that i`m thinking this way after years of carrying them inside...means its time to move them before something happens...make any sense???...roof rack is still an option i guess...
