Jate rings for front of Discovery

Hi all, I got myself a pair of theese today and i'm looking for advice on where to fit 'em. I was thinking of removing the standard front towing eye and fitting them there (on both sides) so that i can use them through the standard bumper holes.

Has anyone else got any ideas? or thoughts?

Without meaning to sound thick, whats the differance, if any, between Jate Rings and "D" Rings?

what did you pay for the set if you dont mind me asking? i know the company who was making them has gone tits up and i am inundated with requests....

Proper JATE rings are forged not welded and were designed by the Joint Air Transportation Executive. to allow landrovers & sankey trailers to be suspended from Helicopters and carried onto the battlefield, & forward positions.

I paid aboout 11 quid each got the pair and a 7 tonne 5 meter tow rope for £48 (Please dont tell my missus she'll kill me LOL)

Believe me chaps, I'd take LR running costs over some other marques any day of the week.

At least the parts are plentyfull and easy to obtain.

Nice bloke that Raz. I have a feeling he's about to 'give me' some jate rings in the not too distant future.

Oh by the way if you read that paddocks link they are £15 a pair.
