Plenty of opinions on the forum that the Jatco steptronic transmssion on my 2001 V6 Freelander is a crappy piece of work.
Does anybody want to have a guess at the expected life I should get out of this box?
Mine has just shown its first sign of something not quite right and I'm worried. Done about 70,000 miles. I would have thought that sophisticated modern engineering would produce a box that would do 200,000+ miles.
