Does anyone know if this is a common issue, as my td4 auto commercial has a flat spot at 50 mph, had put mine down to cruising at 50mph due to speed limit on commute to work.
At what gear and what engine rev's does the flat spot happen?

Hi Hippo, usually just after changing into top, at quite low revs (as I pull out of a side road with a 30 mph speed limit onto a main road with a 50 mph limit usually no need to boot it so I,m not pulling high revs) Have to turn in now, but will come back tomorrow.

Right back now.:)
Flat spot happens just as box changes into top at 2.5K rpm/50 mph, revs then drop to 2K, depressing throttle will not increase revs until box changes down a gear, then revs rise but speed does not significantly increase. If I cruise at 50 for a while, then throttle response returns & car will speed up happily without a down change. Doesn't do it all the time. Possibly might just need to 'trash' it once in a while. Air intake, intercooler, erg etc where all cleaned out recently.
