Jack's Back... and SRS light on???

Hi You guys... I have been away for a while...with good reason..did ya miss me????

The pic below tells the story of my absence, but during that absence I developed a small problem..with the car that is.

My SRS red light has started coming on on the dash. It started coming on intermittantly over a couple of days, but is now on all the time. I cant fiind my driver's handbook (I put it somewhere safe!!!!) so I was curious what it meant. The local Landrover dealer (250klms away) has closed down so I am without support.

I did do a search for SRS on the forums and suprisingly didnt get a result????

hi first of all congratulation's,funny on this and best sorted by a dealer with a good diagnostic set up it will allmost certianly just want resetting,but what ever you do dont mess with the air bag area itself because of the small explosive charge that is used to activate the bag on impact i think its a problem that BMW gave us when they owned rover,they used a design wich is used in there cars and i have 2 mates that are allways down at BMW having theres resett this may be your problem,phil
