I've got a stiffy

The bonnet release on my 1990 classic is really really hard to pull. Has been ever since I got it , I am worried about the cable snapping and locking me out.

Doesnt feel like the catch itself and I have greased that anyway.

Any ideas where I can get some lube onto it?, as its all incased in steel tube as far as I can see.

check routing, sharp bends are common problem.

Is the cable hard to pull with the bonnet open?

yup still stiff , a fraction easier.

Regarding the cable routing, if its encased how can you lube it?

either by spray grease and and tape tube to cable or

remove cable
plastic bag and rubber band make plastic bag like cake icing nozzle and use rubber band to hold it tight, fill with oil and oil will work it's way down.
