Hello all,
I find myself dangerously close to buying my first Land Rover after many years of being surrounded by friends & family who own some of Solihull's finest products (and, it's fair to say, a few clunkers..).
I got the Italian car thing out of my system a while back & am currently enjoying some reliability in an Octavia before plunging headlong into the world of the Green Oval.
And yes, before anyone mentions Italian 'build quality' and Land Rover in the same breath, I am only too aware that they can be, er, troublesome on occasion, but I think I'm man enough to be able to dust off the old Alfa Romeo-based "it's character" cliches whenever anyone asks me what I was expecting.
Anyway, they're a lot better these days..
aren't they..?
So, I'm off to the Discovery owners part of the forum to find out whether or not my rose-tinted views of Landie ownership are about to be shot down in flames & that I should stick with a VW product..
I genuinely hope not..
Best wishes,
David.
