Discovery 300tdi Commercial. 2 inch lift springs and shocks. 265/75/16 Insa Turbos fitted today on standard discovery steels. Catch like mad anywhere near lock but can't seem so see where? Anyone know where it is likely to be? Will fitting spacers fix this? Thank You in advance for any advice.

Most definitely will help, yes. Without taking a wheel off again (this week), my spacers for Cooper 33 * 15s STTs on a D1 must be at least 20mm and the front still catches on the mudflaps even with 2" lift/extended shocks, tho' only a tiny and insignificant amount on lock.

My spare however is a InsaTurbo 265,75,16(yes on 16 modular) and I considered a few tyre choices or combinations for the truly muddy season, including 285s. However, upon consideration and forum information, decided to stick with all-terrain Cooper's on 15s all round at least until end of Autumn; and for a few reasons.

#Would have to keep a second set of tyres which would not really be used until November at the earliest - and do not warrant the expense of new modulars AND second set of tyres for off-road use only as not suitable for mainly road use.
#The Insa 16s are 'naturally' bigger ..taller than the Coopers and by a noticable amount and would rub the mud flaps even more (tho' Coopers appear slightly wider it could be illusion), or worse on something else, and I'm not going to be changing any suspension, spacers or other bits this summer ...
#Mixing tyre/rim sizes front & rear only knackers transfer boxes  (not applicable to you or your situation) but which upon reflection is only common sense

So, there we are, I don't think its anything else, someone knowing more may correct me, my D1 has mudflaps and bigger guards but otherwise standard I think. If you have to run with those Insa Ts you'll be needing wheel spacers.
