Is it an auto with EDC - if it is, it will have a fly-by-wire accelerator pedal with a potentiometer. Sometimes these can be a source of running problems.

Cheers

hi no its a manuel...without the electronic fuel pump im told

Ah, so you have a spanish model, that explains a lot. It'll probably run fine manjiana :D

Sorry, my little joke. Have run out of thngs to suggest.

You have checked/replaced the airfilter right? They are only about £3 a time from Paddocks so I usually get 3 at once, then I've always got stock.

Good luck

Dave

I have never seen a 300 without a sedimenter? I have seen them under the floor above the axle and I have seen them put behind the O/S rear wheel but never completely omitted?

Try getting a CLEAN container of fuel and connecting straight to the lift pump. If all runs ok it could be be just air or blocked filter as someone else mentioned.

If still runs bad and we assume new lift pump is good then take out the stop solenoid PLUNGER and put the solenoid back without plunger (you will need to stall engine to stop it).

Sometimes these will jam half way and not let sufficinet fuel through or the rubber stopper on the end comes loose and does not open properly.

If still running bad then perhaps the diesel pump itself needs attention,

regards

Dave
