Great to hear you are out, and occasionally about. Slow and steady, don't overdo anything and set yourself back. You'll be wafting in lofty comfort before you know it, but best be off the Tramadol first!

Another news bulletin for you all. Hospital rang Friday with results of pathologist report on my innards. 17 lymph nodes were removed and specs of cancer were found on 2 of them, so not too bad. So the obvious course would now to be a dose of chemo BUT as you know I have a dodgy heart so chemo could be dangerous for me. I have been refered to the Western Park cancer hospital in Sheffield for them to have a look at me and see what they can do. Hopefully its a course of very mild chemo to flush out my system and then on a 5 year monitoring plan to keep an eye on me. The monitoring would just start earlier if no chemo is available.
Its like I've said before, its just the same as working on a Land Rover. One thing after another

When they found the tumour on my kidney, I also had nodes around it, but they all (thank god) were benign, and the tumour was inside my kidney, so they just took that out, apparently it was massive, I don't know how they did it, but my balls are now like 4 times the normal size.... I wish the whole aria was like that, but sadly for the wife it's not!!
I have one of those scars too. Mine is from getting knocked off my bike as a kid and the handlebars ripping open my bowl. Stings like a bastard when you get sunburn on it.Hi every body I'm home. Got let out Wednesday afternoon and am taking it very very easy. Up for an hour and back to bed for 3. Dosed to the eyeballs with Tramadol, which ain't so bad
I have got to praise and thank all the staff from start to finish They have been absolute top drawer in looking after me.
Once the pathology report comes back in a couple of weeks I will know which way further treatment is liable to go. Still I have 5yrs of monitoring now
Thank you everyone for all your best wishes and comments over this stressful time but hey we're used to it aren't with owning Land Rovers
As I get stronger I'll be on longer and longer
Hopefully the followup treatment knocks the cancer out the park.

Well that didn't take long again. Rotherham phoned last Friday to say referring me to Western Park Sheffield. Appointment has come through for next Friday to see consultant. Just cannot fault everyone for the speed which they have reacted to getting me sorted out. Onwards and upwards as the saying goes

Once you're in the system it is generally good. Getting into it is the issue.
