was fitting me off road gear on my new landy today and the steering guard wont fit as the holes ya bolt it to normally where the lashing down eyes are just behind where the jacking holes should be are not there and the jacking holes are not as well they have been cut off at some time and reinforcing added to the chassis. so basically cant fit as there are no front holes and don't want to drill into a galvanized chassis so will be running with out one but how strong are standard land rover steering arms, just hoping i don't bend them when off roading next time.

any suggestions on how to make it stronger with out it costing to much £

thanks

i got terrafirma heavy duty steering arms on me 90,and they are seriously fookin heavy and very thick.if i bend one of them theres summit seriously wrong, but i do also have a steering guard aswell..

to be sure to be sure :D haha

If you can't fit a steering guard and think the HD arms are too expensive then why not weld a bit of right angle steel the length of the standard arms. I did that, cost me nowt and doesn't flex with all my weight on it.

Harry.
