My 90 has an Isuzu 2.8 turbo fitted that smoke, does anyone know if the later 3.1 will drop in the same mounts etc, as there do not seem to be many 2.8's about now.

They should do. I'm sure its same gearbox bolt pattern just different ratio box. Engine is same block dimensions just more modern head.
Be careful with the later ones, I think the early 3.1 is better than the 3.0 because of an injector seal. Loads of landrover nuts on isuzu forums.

Yo I was wondering did u fit the 3.1 into ur 90 as I’m wanting to the same and wanted to know did it fit the gear box straight in or what was needed.
