Is your Defender your main vehicle?

For the last 6 months a '97 110 300tdi with over 160000 miles clock has been my daily 32 mile commute vehicle.

Has never let me down, returns a reasonable 30mpgs and never fails to put a smile on my face.

Tis my main car if that counts, but i go to work on my bike, as they get threw the mersey tunnel for free saves me £900 a year

Ninety is for taking the dogs out in and jaunty jaunts along the lanes, van is my daily transport, but take the ninety now and then if i'm not carrying tools or if there is no sign of rain (truck cab). Love the old girl though ! She who must be obeyed has a Focarse !

No, i bought a 1995 N reg Disco about five years ago of a customer in Preston 93 k on the clock £800, and supposedly a write off (chassis rot) £400 of welding and new rear floor plan and one bulb and it's mot'd.... five years and sixty two thousand miles later it's the most reliable motor i have ever owned... !

Mine most definitely is, a true MPV, family car, works van, caravan tug, and greenlane plaything.
The idea of an older 90 for playing in it slowly creeping into my mind though!!

Mine is, 300tdi with 26k on the clock, been sitting in a barn for years, had a respray looks / drives like new. Do a 200 mile round trip to London every other week!

Yup. For about 12 years now, 3rd Defender, lived in Cape Town, London and now in Mainz ((Germany)).

i have a iveco 2012 van and its ****e, my wife has a 2011 Renault megan and we have our trusty 110 that we use at weekends.

Well the Renault Scenic 1.9 dci has given up so its back to my 1990 Defender as my main transport. Bloody French sh-t

My defender 90 is the first car ive ever owned is the only thing i drive and i honestly dont see myself owning any other kind of veihcle

Only thing stopping me is the cost of fuel. Doesn't work out when you get 50-60 out of a vag lump.

It used to be but got a transit connect aswell now.

Yep, my '89 90 is my only car. Love it. Specially the looks I get as I drive the multi coloured beast on my 26 mile round trip to work. (Currently a work in progress)
