Evening all,
I have been told that you can get a short bellhousing for an R380 gearbox that will marry up with a 200Tdi (in its original position) which means the sticks will remain in the correct location without any cutting and carving.
They also reckon these bellhousings are few and far between, can anyone confirm this?
Or have the f**kers wound me up

shirley if its got a long bellhousing it follows that is should have a matching input shaft .... how dya get round that problem then ???

The defender gearbox has a shorter bellhousing than the disco one. This may be what whoever it was wuz on about. I think you can also change the complete gear linkage from a defender to a disco but I am not 100% sure.

arhh i'm with ya ... ya mean put the short r380 bellend on yer defender box ?? i got ya ....
