Is this the drain for the bellhousing?

If this is the drain should the plug ( ? wading plug ) be there permanently? The car isn't taken off road. I tried undoing it to see if anything came out but itis in tight and the hex is very shallow. I didn't want to round it off. Are there any other drains for the bellhousing?

timing pin hole ,look at the bottom edge

There is another similar hole. Do they drain any fluids out of the housing?

Only if there is some in there (there shouldn’t be).

Common advice is to leave it out so any water or oil etc can drain out and only put the plug in when wading
