Haha they are on the front all ready just need them wiring up and as i finish next week i have two weeks to do some jobs over the xmas hols

That looks like 4-core multi-strand mains-rated flex.

There is no reason why you shouldn't wire them up using that, although I would be inclined to use the 2.5 as the internal resistance of the cable run will be lower.

If you are running anything up to your lights remember to fit a relay, or multiple relays, for switching them ... and stick a fuse in each line!
