Is this one dodgy or just very very wrong?

Fair enough comments, but it's still a bit loud to be an intentional ringer, there has been a ton of cash invested in the engine alone, wait a minute, time out, why the dickins am I justifying someone else's Landrover to what is obviously the Landrover Police.

Just think people should be careful calling people potential criminals on a publicly accessible website without seeing the vehicle first hand and or speaking with the purveyor, to establish guilt, or is more satisfying to grass on them to VOSA? I have never seen such a culture like this with any other type of vehicle before, I thought the people associated with classic Lotus cars had issues.

landrover police :D

however, i doubt very much that the person who knocked this up didn't know exactly what he was doing.

it does look nice.. just using historic plate is wrong.

what a heap of ****e ...the panels don't come close to fitting properly ,

when it comes to the ID , a lot of people don't want to go through the IVA/SVA test as its such a headache , and what vehicle id's are easiest to get? 90 id's are expencive so its series are much cheaper

im guessing they just wanted a cheap ID for it to put it on the road , as they probably needed to buy one they wanted to get savings on tax

not got a problem with them not paying tax , and I seriously doubt its stolen at all

I do think it should be on a more appropriate reg plate though

I like it, and I wouldn't jump to conclusions about it's legality. If it's a modified Series chassis, and it seems to have modified Series bodywork, would it scrape through the ID rules? Even if not, it's not necessarily an act of deliberate dishonesty, just a gradual modification that strictly speaking has gone over the legal line.

Could well have a series chassis and been converted to coils before '98? Apart from that don't think a lot more would count on the points system!

If the car is wearing an ID it's not entitled to it's a ringer. If it is entitled to it then an investigation by VOSA would establish that. Where's the problem with that?
